The View Ridge Swim Team is a summer league swim team and is open to all member children beginning at age five through their senior year graduating from high school. At View Ridge, we value inclusion, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and fun. We hope to see all swimmers develop life skills through their involvement in summer league swimming and encourage everyone to be lifelong swimmers. The coaches strive to create strong relationships with all swimmers and encourage them to do the same with their teammates.
View Ridge is a member of the Greater Seattle Summer Swim League (GSSSL), which is comprised of 16 teams divided evenly into Northern and Southern Divisions. The GSSSL has been in existence since 1960 to promote recreational and competitive swimming. The swim team season starts in mid-May with evening practices, preparing for the summer. Once Seattle Public Schools begin summer break, practices switch to the mornings. The competitive season is made up of seven dual meets against Northern GSSSL clubs (Aqua Club, Blue Ridge, Innis Arden, Klahaya, Sand PointCountry Club, Sheridan Beach, and Wedgwood), followed by post regular season qualifying championship meets. The season culminates with the All City Championship Finals meet on the first Tuesday in August, which is when the entire league (Northern and Southern teams) comes together to complete the season.

Workouts are Monday – Thursday evenings (NO practice May 25 for the Memorial Day Holiday)
11 and Under (8 & Under + 9 – 11): 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
12 – 14: 7:30 p.m. – 8:10 p.m.
15 & Over: 8:10 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
13 & Over: 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.
10 & Under (8 & under, 9 – 10): 8:15 a.m. – 8:55 a.m.
9 – 12: 8:55 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
13 & Over: 9:45 a.m. – 10:55 a.m.
Talk to a coach if you need to make an adjustment to the schedule. We’re always willing to help.

New to VRSTC Swim Team: If you are a new member or your child is new to the VRSTC swim team and you have any hesitancy about registering, have them come on out and try it for a week before you decide. Just let us know. The swim team is a great way to become a better swimmer, get in shape, have fun, meet new people, and probably the best way to get more involved with the pool. We’re committed to helping them and making it a great experience. If interested or if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us (swimcoaches@vrstc.org).
D & J Sports will be onsite on Monday, May 18 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. for swimmers to try on sizer suits to order your 2026 team suits. They will leave some sizer suits for the week if you’re not able to make it on Monday, May 18. Please note, these suits are not required to participate on the swim team. The hard deadline to order the team suit and custom cap is Friday, May 29th. This is so that everyone will be geared up in their suit and caps prior to the first meet on June 25.
It’s time to get your family outfitted in our 2026 VRSTC Club Logoed Gear. Joe Donsky, VRSTC member and owner of Double Haul Apparel, will be onsite May 26 (Tuesday), May 27 (Wednesday), and May 28 (Thursday) from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. with samples of what is offered this season, including our signature VRSTC swim parka. Due to popular demand, we are making a second order. Deadline for this second order is Wednesday, July 1. Checks only made out to Double Haul Apparel. You can find links that show a few items and an order form below. Please turn both in together into the main office. If the check is missing, your order will not be processed.
