Want to check out View Ridge Water Polo? It’s kind of like soccer but played in water and using your hands instead of feet and while wearing goofy/awesome caps. It’s fun, good exercise, super cool to shoot and score, and a great team experience. Football, basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, wrestling and swimming skills all transfer very well to this high action sport. Even if you’re not the best swimmer give it a try and you’ll be hooked for life.

One of the cool things about our water polo team is that it is open to both members and non-members. So invite and bring along friends! All boys and girls ages 7-18 are welcome, no experience needed as long as you can swim 25 yards and tread water for a couple minutes. We are especially trying to build our girls and 12 & under programs so invite your friends!

Hello View Ridge Water Polo family!

We are looking forward to another fun summer of water polo and continuing to build our water polo program! Coach Shelby will be back to help with the transition from Coach Mike departing to manage Wedgwood, his childhood swim club. Our plan is to have several former VR players as well as an experienced adult helping with the program.

All members and non-members ages 6-18 are welcome to come join us. So, invite your friends! All are welcome as long as you are comfortable and safe in the water. Everyone must complete their “paperwork” (online forms this year, see registration page for links) prior to hopping in the pool to participate.

• Cost per player: $130 for Members / $160 for Non-Members

Pre-season Fun Fridays –  July 12, July 19, July 26, August 2

12 & Under – 11 a.m. – noon

13 & Over – noon – 1 p.m.

Regular Season – Wednesday, August 7 – Thursday, August 29

Practices (Monday – Thursday)

12 & Under – 8:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. 

13 & Over – 9 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.

13 & Over – 10am – 12 noon (all others will be playing matches at this time)

For the younger ages, the games are geared towards being a very inclusive introduction to the sport. Some general information on how the schedules of games have gone in the past can be found on the SSWPL website so you can get some rough ideas on how game day schedules go from there.
